The TC7878 is a PID controller offering a wide range of inputs and output actions specially for temperature control systems. 

The temperature can be read from resistance thermometers (RTD-PT100 0.1°C and 1°C), K, J, R and S type thermocouples, or from analog current or voltage inputs. Depending on the selected input, different ranges are provided. The PID control action (proportional band, integral time and derivative time) is output on relay 1 and can be set up using manual or auto tuning. 

The control logic of the device makes it suitable for heating and cooling applications. 

The simple and intuitive interface made up of three buttons, of a four-digit sevensegment display and of two LEDs provides easy access to control and parameter setting actions and to calibration procedures.
